Nicholas Veronico has allowed the 390th Memorial Museum to house his fully restored B-17G Tail Turret. He’ll be speaking and taking questions about the acquisition and restoration process. Nick is an author of over 30 aviation books as well as the donor of our newest addition at the 390th Memorial Museum. A limited number of autographed copies of his book, Bloody Skies, are available through the 390th’s online store. In this book, Nick chronicles the air war in WWII, concentrating on the damages incurred on the air corps. Chapter 4, A Personal Note, details how the author found out about his uncle’s B-17, Decauter Deb, a 390th Bomb Group plane that was shot down May 28th, 1944. This event is free of charge. Visit our website for the Zoom link. All we ask is that you bring your thoughtful questions. We look forward to Zooming with you!
